Maria Michouris

Maria is an associate at Haddock & Company, her current practice areas include strata property law, co-operative housing law, landlord and tenant law, and construction law.
Maria obtained her law degree from the University of Ottawa in 2024, and was called to the British Columbia Bar in May 2025. While in law school, she developed hands-on experience at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic, assisting clients across multiple areas of law and providing community legal education, including on landlord-tenant matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Maria articled at the British Columbia Law Institute, where she contributed to a range of law reform projects, including extensive research on co-operative housing law, strata property law, and leasehold land. She also gained experience drafting court applications and legal arguments through her work with the British Columbia Civil Liberties Association, contributing to cases at the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.
