Nisha joined Haddock & Company in the fall of 2015. Her practice areas include strata property law, co-operative housing law, landlord and tenant law, and construction law. Nisha has developed a particular interest in working with Co-op’s, providing advice on various issues including rules, occupancy agreements and membership terminations.
Nisha obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree at Simon Fraser University in 2010. While working at the Canada Revenue Agency, she realized she had an interest in helping individuals solve their problems in accordance with the law. She then decided to attend law school in Ontario and is a graduate of Windsor Law. She was called to the British Columbia bar in June of 2015.
Prior to joining Haddock & Company, she worked at a criminal defence firm in North Vancouver, where she also completed her articles. Nisha has appeared as counsel at both the Provincial and Supreme Court level, however she believes that many matters can be resolved outside of the courtroom through negotiation and settlement agreements.
Nisha is a strong believer in giving back to her community and has volunteered her time at the UBC Law Students’ Legal Advice Program and the Legal Aid Program in Windsor, Ontario. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, travelling, and cheering on the Canucks.
