Ripan Hans

Lawyer

Ripan joined Haddock & Company in the fall of 2018. Her practice areas include strata property law, co-operative housing law, landlord and tenant law, and construction law. Prior to joining Haddock and Company, Ripan worked with a small plaintiff personal injury firm, where she gained extensive experience in communicating with clients and worked on matters filed in the British Columbia Supreme Court.

Ripan graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations. Following this, she worked with a number of non-profit organizations that focused in environmental work and human rights issues. It was this work that led Ripan to pursue the study of law, so that she could effect real change and advocate for clients.

While studying law at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Ripan was elected as the Students’ Law Society VP Communications and worked as a student lawyer for Dalhousie Legal Aid Services, where she appeared for clients at residential tenancy board hearings, and before the Provincial Court and the Nova Scotia Supreme Court Family Division.

Having grown up in the small town of Mackenzie, British Columbia, Ripan values connecting with people and uses this experience to foster a personal approach to client service.

In her spare time, Ripan enjoys staying active, and enjoys yoga, hiking, and long walks with her adopted rescue dog, Leo.
