We Listen. We Will Make A Difference.
Aleksandra (Ola) Karpik
In July of 2018, Ola became Haddock & Company’s permanent presence on Vancouver Island when she and her family relocated to the Greater Victoria area. The move was especially timely as the firm had been working on plans to better serve our expanding portfolio of Island clients.
At Haddock & Company, Ms. Karpik’s practice focuses on all aspects of strata property law, including the new Civil Resolution Tribunal, Landlord and Tenant law, Co-op Housing Law, Non-profit Housing Law, Construction Law, and General Civil Litigation. Her articles on landlord and tenant legal issues, human rights, and strata property law have been regularly published in the BC Paralegal Association Newsletter. She has also written for LandlordBC.
Ms. Karpik graduated with a law degree from the University of Cambridge and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of British Columbia.
Having grown up on the North Shore, Ms. Karpik is proud to serve this community. Over the years, she has worn several hats: ‘Vancouver Sun-Runner’, volley-ball coach, volunteer, speaker, and business owner are a few. Ms. Karpik enjoys linking with Vancouver’s vibrant multicultural community and, as a legal professional, her connection to the North Shore is a major driving force in her personal approach to client service.
Ms. Karpik draws on her international, business, and collaborative project experience to provide clients with a multi-faceted and strategic approach to problem solving. Prior to joining Haddock & Co., Ms. Karpik worked at a West Vancouver law firm in the areas of Dispute Resolution, Landlord and Tenant law, Civil Litigation, and Real Estate Conveyancing. She completed her law articles at a large national firm in Vancouver. She also brings valuable experience from her time working at Health Canada, her work with international organizations (in India, the Philippines, Italy, and England), and as a local business owner.
